Child to Mother

Child to Mother

A Poem by Alice Patterson

Child

♥♥♥♥

Sorry if I might need you from time to time

sorry about those tired midnight calls

sorry about those puddles of tears beside my bed

sorry about all those stuttering falls

Sorry if I wake you

in the middle of the night

because I might need you then

or if I'm at school and I get into a fight

Mother

♥♥♥♥♥

Sorry If i'm working late that night

or if you have to have cereal for dinner

or if you have to tuck yourself into bed

or if you don't feel like a winner

But I will always kiss you goodnight

even if your fast asleep

I hold you in my arms

if you start to weep

Author's Note

Alice Patterson
I think this is a nice refreshing poem, because I usually have dark and twisted things, but this one is light and....

fluffy.
