The start of our love

All I could see from where I stood at that moment
Was those beautiful blue eyes and the smile;
I turned and looked the other way,
And saw myself smiling in the mirror.
So in that moment my eyes traced the line
Back to you, quickly and nervously,
All around till I was
Back to where I'd started from;
And all I saw from where I stood
Was those beautiful blue eyes and the smile.
Past these things I could not see:
These were the things that was stuck in my head for weeks;
And it was like I could touch them with my hand,
Almost, I thought, from wherever I was,
And all at once things seemed to click in my head
My breath came short, and scarce at the thought
But, sure, he noticed me.....
