Pirate

Pirate

A Poem by YouoweYoupay
"

overcoming writer'sblock.

"

Pirate

I'll steal

And I'll claim

As my own creation

Then you   shall admire me

Call me inspirational

Praise my theft

And then my penname

Will be weighed down

and striked with frowns

And you will wonder

Why I don't write anymore..

This is an interesting piece. Short, yet it draws you in so that you have to read it til the end.
For me, the best way to get over writer's block is to take a break and have faith that inspiration will come again. Usually it comes as an unstoppable force and then I write poem after poem none stop til I just can't rhyme anymore xD
Well penned pirate poem! ^^

I like the short lines gave it a great beat. True about pirates (in the literal sense) how they were actually bad people but we think they're so cool and romanticize them. But also in the modern day pirates who steal other peoples work, and we do the same until we realize the theft and no longer praise them. A nice doubled sided poem into the past and present! Great job :)
