You're Not Mine To Have

You're Not Mine To Have

A Poem by Whisty_x

Every rose has a petal,
Every stem has a leaf,
Every riddle has a rhyme,
Every story, disbelief.

If you were mine for me to have
You would have been mine by now.
I would hold you tightly in my arms
But love got muddled up somehow.

This story ends in waves of sorrow,
This story ends tonight.
It ends with you, not with me
By the fading glint of sunlight.
