Jumble and Jargon

Jumble and Jargon

A Poem by WhiteWillow

This page
of unnecessary words
cloud
my foggy mind (at best).

Knowledge gained leaves me
empty, lost;
reading, searching,
aiming to please the Elysian folk.

Must I ascern a certain place
to be deemed acceptable?

How can I convey
superlative notions to
editors and buffoons alike?

Praise and validation of a
certain standard
shape a life;
Am I impressive?

Hell, am I relevant?

i like this...the life of a poet...acceptance, rejection, the feeling of triumph as we write something that feels good, and then the crashing down when some editor tells us "this is nice, and thanks for trying, but this does not fit with our magazine" in other words....get better and then send us more.

and who are they? but people who probably can't write something of their own very well and make themselves feel better by shooting others who can write, down.

Thank you, Jacob. Lovely to see you (and read you) again
yep, yep, and of course. I think you are on the right track, the answer is in the creative word. Nice piece.
