A Poem by Project Mayhem
"

Double Meaning: 1. Not everyone is going to like you and you can't force them. It hurts but you will manage 2. Being around toxic people will definitely morph you into something you hate.

"
So much for that
Don't understand
As for yourself
It's optional
Donate my time
Once more too much
Still icicles

You're what has been
Out through past lives
A numerous count
And you're the issue
I've lost empathy
On the way to nowhere

How can anyone stand in your shoes and look within and not judge you by their own sins. I love the ending, surreal having "lost empathy on the way to nowhere" (almost sounds like a junkies description of a bad trip :) Philosopher, Poet and Lyricist, what more can I stay. Standing O!

I like this a lot actually. The toxicity level in other people will always rub off and poison even he best of intentions and misery loves company. Good Write.

Nice job. I purged the toxic people from my life over the last few years.
Life is too short.

This is such a cool piece of brevity, such a statement made with solid and surprising words, and an interesting idea, though sounding almost bored of the subject or place. It a kept me waiting and wondering what you would say next and you didn't disappoint on that last sentence.. Unusual and I'll be needing me to read!80

About
I write music and lyrics and some my poems are prototypes for the songs I want to write. Some poems are short and sometimes vague but, I've always liked songs/poems that are dense and vague where it m.. more..
