Poison

Like a sharp knife

Slashes through all my dreams

pieces drifting away in the streams

I can't believe you

Was all pretend

You always tended to my wounds

Putting senseless poison inside them

Without my knowing

Didn't know they were killing me

Didn't know your kindness was the poise of poison

How my vision hazed

So many voices

So many paths to choose from

I can't think

Please don't leave me

Give me the cure

Please don't leave me

With such heaving breathes

Please don't go without my heart

Leave my body and soul but take my heart

It belongs to you

No matter how fake it was

Nothing will take away the truth

In my heart

Take it please don't kill it

Beautiful. Simple and sweet. I would suggest that you add more rhythm, but the random line lengths and broken sentences seem to emphasize the poision slowly working through her and so the lack of rhythm doesn't really seem to matter as much.
Great job.
