I Guess I Missed That Part Of The ContractA Poem by Carly Bre-AnnNow just let me fast forward a few years or so Then I could say what happened now was so long ago What world do we live in when the happiness isn't your own? I guess it's just my world and it's my world alone I feel like I could die without it But all I can do is cry about it A break in the cycle, a change in the wind Something else besides what's always been Even when it's over, I don't feel any better The more you try to forget The clearer you remember I don't know where things went downhill All I know is that they have You love me more than anyone will And I shouldn't have let it get that bad Everyone likes having options to choose from I threw mine all away for you You thought you were the lucky one But I never really wanted to Freedom ain't so sweet when it costs an innocent heart Either way I knew this fate we would eventually meet And I had forseen it at the end of our start That love will always be a double defeat I'll always be the bad guy No matter what I say or do Even long after you're gone You'll remind me that I'm wrong Forever controlling my life 'Cause it revolves around you I could write a thousand pages And it wouldn't sum it up I'll be waiting for the final stages Where the going's not as rough I just know it's time to go I've finally had enough © 2012 Carly Bre-Ann
