Heart of Hearts

Heart of Hearts

A Poem by Will

She has such a heart of hearts
She cares so much for people

She watches over her friends,
And keeps watch over her heart

But when her heart opens up,
It is opened forever

It has been opened to me,
And its secrets amaze me

The things she does for others,
And the things she puts up with

They never cease to amaze,
And I am proud to know her

But her heart is not all mine;
It is spread out to others

A girl, so close to her heart,
And a boy so far from home

Her heart belongs to those two,
And there is where it should rest.

I am not what her heart needs,
Despite what she may believe

I hope she understands this,
And does not lose all her faith

So please, forgive me my dear,
And go fulfill destiny
