One Day Soon

One Day Soon

A Poem by Will

I pray to God that one day soon,
that I may see the crescent moon.

The light of stars up so high,
reminds me that we all soon die.

Those stars are dead, just like our hopes,
and the beggar, poor and lonely, mopes.

I now my head in sadness now,
as for the tyrants, we all bow.

Free will gone, dreams decimated,
we all lay dying, soon cremated.

For Death, she is a sneaky tune,
one we'll all hear one day soon.

I thought of Ayn Rand's Anthem as I wrote. Thanks for reading
