Inescapable

Inescapable

A Poem by Will

When sleep eludes my grasp each night
why do I see you?
How does my heart not crack in two,
from racing all night through.

You see, love is a tricky thing,
she'll snare you in the night.
When you least expect her grasp,
she'll snatch you with great might.

At first, you'll try to shake her off,
not wanting to be hurt.
But soon you'll figure "What the hell?
I'll soon be in the dirt!"

This one ought to make your life
and make your heart beat fast.
She'll make them redefine the word,
for this "love" shall surely last
