Failure

Failure

A Poem by Will

When a child's first memory
is of fallen towers,
We've failed.

When a son must realize
that daddy won't come home,
We've failed.

When a daughter is forced to watch
her mother's execution,
We've failed.

When parents weep
over tiny coffins,
God failed,

That's true Will.
God Forbid.. may be I should not be saying this.
But, I do feel that God failed in some way by making this world or say making this so called social animal called Human.

"When parents weep
over tiny coffins,
God failed."
How true. I never understand how a baby's life or even a child's life can be taken away in such weird circumstances. It is truly scarring for the parents to have to bury their children before their own life is taken. Everything you wrote is spot on.

This one hits hard, Will. We have failed, and it certainly makes one wonder about the role of the Deity... Well penned.

We've been failing on a lot of levels for centuries. Once in a while we do pull something incredible out of our collective a*s though. Live for the good moments and remember the bad, and a moment of reflection for those we lost, there's a lot of them
