My Space

My Space

A Poem by Will Neill
"

I have wrote this today just to enter it into Angi's contest--a place where I write, my kitchen table.

"

My Space

A slice of teak from an antediluvian tree

eight lost souls in chairs-I see

one parchment book full-cold tea

excursive words in every corner.-homely

A pure white page and - only me.

Whole my pleasure to do that...you're heartedly welcome! :)
That kitchen table holds many a fond memories for me, as well. Now that I have my own family, I think back on those days when life itself seemed to center around it.

This reminded me of when I started writing, Will...with my smith corona typewriter propped atop my lap! Those were the days...and here I am, still writing, and still as passionate about it as I ever was.

This is lovely, for so many reasons. Thank you for sharing it!

My best,
Kelly

The table, surrounded by empty chairs and memories... a wonderful place for a writer! I love your last line - that pure page - and you - working in harmony.

Just a pure white page (and sometimes rage) and me--thanks Rita.

I love picturing the life your table had before it was a table. I pictured that ancient wood surrounded by eight misty, whispering, moaning ghosts. Thank you for this peek into your place, Will. This was a fun contest for me! Congratulations! Angi~

This is great. You're getting very good at poetry. Great rhyme scheme that hints to a feeling of pureness and solemnity.

The kitchen table is my choice for doing artwork, also. A great little poem, Will, and I hope Angi thinks so, too.
