To The Wood

To The Wood

A Poem by William Thomas

Zeal in the wode
And lay upon the hollow.
Escaping your sombre thoughts
For they bring down
My calico way.
And zest upon the
Simple beauty of nature,
For it's archaic stance
And mastery of wisdom
Life, and love is infinite.

These are the vows I've constructed
To conspire with your wickedness.
For old days are the gone, and now
In the happening, yester-ways of the
Kindred earth fickle faintly.
