its a monologue i did a few years ago.

I stood there on our porch
watching my husband and sons ride away to join the war.
I pray they come home safe and sound.
I should of been more persistent
But it was their choice to serve their country.
It's a good thing I have my little ones to keep me occupied.
I actually believe it would be good for there not to be slaves.
Its such a hassle to deal with them.
