Staring into the light

Staring into the light

A Poem by willweb

My eyes find an opening

on a cloud riddled day

as meadowlarks sleep

waiting for dawn’s beacon of hope

Misty skies drizzle steadily,

dripping from sloping eaves

in rhythmic patterns

causing ripples in the reflective puddles

Barren trees shiver

of winter’s chilled grip

searching for their leaves

lost on that first blustery day

Still silent winds caress my smile

as I stare off into the light I find,

warming me deep to my heart

in the beauty that is your love

The images you have created are so vivid. The last verse..heart touching..really very sweet. Even on the coldest day we are warmed by the one we love.

Thank you Julie for the smile this morning. I always enjoy when you stop by.
I like the line "Still silent winds caress my smile"
evokes an image and a feeling
carries the whole piece I think

Sadly, Will, its too freaking cold here, to hold any rational thought, beyond, finding the nearest hot spot to dethaw one self, for a wee bit.
