Your Ghost

Your Ghost

A Poem by WindSinger

Every night I hear your name.

The wind pities my cries and whispers

your name for you to return.

I hear your voice in the distance.

Visions of you appear.

You walk on the beach of my dreams.

You sit on the window watching the rain.

I feel your ghost follow me.

When a ship wrecks it stays put.

Sometimes you hear legends about ghosts

ships returning to taunt the sea.

With lovers when you end the affair,

it ends there, without hesitation.

This was different I had adored you.

Now that you have died out of my life,

you taunt me incessently.

Will I ever see you again?

Will your ghost resurrect itself?

Your apparition lies restive in my mind.

Words and things you used to say

linger in my dizzy head.

Won't you stop invading my dreams?

I long for your being.

Why does your specter plague my life?

A unshakable feeling
one cannot easily get over esp one so close to heart
touches really deep as this nostalgia of yours
very well penned with emotions from heart
