Cancer In The United States Of America

The current state of cancer in the US citizens is growing in that 19 million people are affected with cancer.

Cancer increase rate is critical and needs a check. The cases have spread even to young children suffering from different types of cancers. The cancer survivors are many because of early detection and effective treatment. The cancers in the male population include; prostate cancer, colorectal cancer and melanoma. These forms of cancer common in the male population that need to be addressed. In the females the most common types are the breast cancer, uterine cancer, and colorectal cancer. These cancers are causing a major problem to the US health care and the population at large. The American Cancer Society (ACS) has come up with a guideline in dealing with every form of cancer through screening. The ACS provides the recent guidelines in screening for lung cancer. Breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The aim of this is to prevent and inform people on early treatment in case they are affected. The skin cancer is becoming another concern on the surgeons. The surgeons call for an elaborate explanation of skin products on their application and the effect they have on the skin.

Screening for cancers

Cancer has deaths in women in the US and leads them being more endangered. Screening is the process done to determine if an individual has the cancer or is developing cancer. The screening has different limits and test related to sex, age, risk and testing intervals. Adults at high risk go for Screening of these cancers and provided with proper identification of high risk status based on the detailed patient of family history or other factors and the application involves starting screening earlier as given in the guidelines to reduce the risk of cancer and leading to earlier treatment if found with it.

The process of screening is advised on the whole population so that we can detect early development of cancer in individuals and try to prevent the avoidable situations. The health care providers are trying to inform the people the importance of screening. Here in the US fulfilling cancer screening requires combination of structures, incentives, and systems to identify, contact and following the population target. Health professionals in every level need to be aware of screening recommendations for all the people of all ages, the benefits, limitations, and harms associated with screening and understand what is expected of them in preparation follow-up and adherence.

The financial and other access barriers screening must be minimized to allow smooth and many people turning in for screening. Adult past the age of 16 in adult preventive services that include breast cancer, cervical cancer screening without any patient cost sharing for those who have health insurance plans. This plan was adopted to increase screening cases to detect significantly and prevent the cancers. The policies were revised to allow individuals with insurance health policies to undergo free screening to check this problem. Cancer is a threat to the whole world more so the US as it has the largest number of victims and survivors.

In fighting cancer, the government has come up with a strategy of increasing coverage of Americans with insurance policies. This plan will make it able for them to go for screening early thus preventing any more critical levels in the future. The policy makers should understand the medical program coverage of preventive services including cancer screening and what restrictions are in place in regulating these services and treatment terms and what information do medical programs provide to citizens about their benefits.

The ACS call for all the American population including  education, government, business, non-governmental organization, health care, and CDC as well as the society more on prevention and synthesizing of people on cancer. The screening programs are recommended at a given intervals for early detection and prevention of cancer in the society. The victims of cancer should be treated well and informed of further effects if they stop managing their state of cancer. The survivor’s cases are increasingly growing thanks to early detection in initial stages.
