Death's Sweet Seduction

Death's Sweet Seduction

A Poem by FlatLineBeauty

There is no more terrifying sight
Than that of these blood stained days
It is a sight that inspires fear
Fear, a contagious fever
Taking hold of all rational thought
Bringing with it delirium

She appears so dark and dead
Her eyes fading
Losing the light that shines
A single drop of blood
Draws her
Like a fine wine to her nose

With her last breath
She inhales the succulent scent of Death
Death comes clinging
Like lonely leaves
On bare, silver trees
Darkness falling over her
Like a lady's black, lace veil in mourning

Seeing the heavens open
She knew there was no other road to travel
This fateful night she knew
Death was now the keeper of her soul
He was a legend that banished all hope
Whispered by the fallen souls
That carried on ghostly, grey mists

Death appears like a welcomed seduction
Dressed elegantly in black
Becoming her Master
He takes her hand
Leading her down the spiral stairs
Into their new abode
A place detached from reality
In a frosted, glass dome
It is a world he is King
And she, his Queen
