Confessed Obsession

A deeply twisted love, professed

Silence shrouds the feelings hidden in your eyes,

and the intensity behind them, often draws out frightened sighs.

The power that's inside you, commands so much respect,

that no one is immune to overwhelming, dark effects;

Of accepting all the cruelty of your black & morbid reign,

and submitting, with great gladness, to the infliction of deep pain.

Pleasure is what drives you, as you coldly draw 'first tear',

while seduction still grows stronger, with the admission of each fear.

The ruthless pursuit of dominance, is what makes the mortals kneel,

but it was never the true basis for, the torment that I feel.

It's the sweet & fragile child, that trembles in your heart,

and the struggle to deny him, which is tearing you apart.

The anguish in your touch, sears the fabric of my soul,

yet knowing it's your deepest fear, is what truly takes its toll.

I realize the fear of love, is what labeled you my 'brother',

but each of us, reflects in truth, the heartbreak of the other.

And perhaps it's best, that we can heal two hearts that slowly bleed,

by embracing one another, and fulfilling all our needs.

A spirit torn in two, screams separately for death,

but Fate puts them together, and the whole takes vital breath.

Darkness is your playground, yet you look to me for light,

and in your wings, I now embrace, the beauty of the night.

I read this twice, amazing writing

I like the rhyming scheme that you have used in this poem. I am a fun of rhymes myself and I know how its hard at times to balance between making your poem rhyme and make sense at the same time. But you managed to do that perfectly. I will read it again to see the subject matter, but as for the style, i like it.
