Lazily I Lie (Awake)

Lazily I Lie (Awake)

A Poem by ❀ Gabriela ❀
"

An acrostic ode to insomnia...

"
Late at night, I try to stop

All my thoughts as up they pop.

Zipping, darting, through my head

I wish that I could sleep instead.

Long for restlessness to cease;

Yet, I cannot find release.

I sigh and check the clock again.

Lights tell me it's 3 a.m.

I close my eyes; I'll try some more-

Even if it takes 'til four...
