To the Sea: or The Uni-mind

To the Sea: or The Uni-mind

A Poem by Wolf_Lord
"

This is about the children of the Sea... descendants of Lilith and the descendants of Eve, the Land-bound. Together the two sides make up the Uni-mind which some believe is the incarnation of God.

"

To The Sea: The Uni-mind

Un-human voices call throughout

The myriad waves, the domains of the sea

A wispy kernel of fog does now well out

A rising nebulous scentless viscosity

To lock the land with ethereal glee

To me, to me, do the voices cry

An eerie echo throughout the cities

On every continent; in every country

The fog is felt and heard and seen

In every language of all the people

The call is now resounding forth

Imploring, all of the lost children

To a sacred meeting upon the shores

The shores of every ocean and sea

Do you see their confusion; their expression?

As the children called; do make their way

Seeking out the living waters source

Traveling unseeing both night and day

Looking neither right nor left

Needing neither food nor water

Their only need to reach the shore

None can stop them nor bar their path

Neither friend, nor lover, nor even father

People peer from door and from window

Fearfully watching the throngs go by

Lining the streets to watch the progression

Shouting obscenities, or heaving a sigh

For none of them do they understand

Because they are not among those called

A fact of which they are very aware

That to follow would mean their death

Something none of them would dare

Dare the wrath of the King of the Seas

Calling now his children; to his Lair

The call of the sea resounds through the Air

Ah, pity the poor uncalled people

Knowing mostly that something is lost

A son, a daughter, a friend, a lover

Even a parent is part of the cost

The world as a whole begins to panic

Realizing that half their number is gone

Gone to the sea; gone to the shore

They say: Society as we know it

Will break down now before too long

For the throngs pass by no longer

Just a scattered few now and then

The land locked people all a tremble

Suspecting soon will come the end

What that end will be; nobody knows

Perhaps the end of all existence

Some say the end of all creation

Yet strangely, underlining all of it

Is a building core of pure elation

Maybe this is not completely bad

Perhaps some good could come

After all some good had come already

I heard one man say to another

Myself I have now inherited

The mansion of my brother

Yet it was more than that indeed

For the uncalled did group together

All the wars were now ended

For what use war if all existence end

The economy was getting better

So it seemed to ebb and swell

As the uncalled looked around

With the dawning of realization

Of something lost; something found

Something which sparkled in the air

Like a woman’s hair now unbound

Part II: Children of the Sea

Thus go us back to the Sea

Back to the Sea; back to the Sea

Whereupon the living waters shore

The poor lost children now are free

Come to themselves the compulsion lost

Upon their arrival their minds now clear

Clarity never before suspected

Freedom of mind; freedom from fear

None of them have eaten nor drank

Yet find that they have not a care

For the radiance now surrounding them

Seems to feed them from the very air

The barriers that had once existed

Between nation, country, even race

Have been wiped out of existence

On their arriving in this Holy Place

Language has now all become one

A lost dialect belonging to the Ancients

A gift given to the returning children

For but a moments mental patience

A feeling of elation is now building

Upon the shore; throughout the land

As the fog that layered all the world

Is swept up now by unseen hands

The sun now shines upon the earth

Like the center of the universe

Seemingly from all directions

From this sun; no shadows given birth

Directly overhead does it now hang

Looking straight at it gives no pain

A benevolent Creature of the ancients

Falling upon their faces like gentle rain

Then the Seas now begin to boil

As a God throws off his sodden cloak

A cloak made of the living waters

The living worlds turning spoke

Neptune shines with untold glory

His visage crowned with healing light

His lips form the promise of a welcome

An ending to his children’s plight

His voice resounds throughout the world

Composed of both vision; and his sight

It is a voice booming with compassion

Underlined with passion of his might

The Earth trembles to its reverberation

Yet inspires confidence instead of fright

Where before there had been the separation

Came together a mighty commingled shout

With the forming of the Uni-mind

Part III: The Uni-Mind

Imagine being a single drop of water

Swept around by a storms great fury

Until suddenly the waters do mix

And your singleness forever buried

Within a vast pool composed of knowledge

Of all that ever has; or ever will exist

And now you are a part of it

From the formlessness of chaos

To the forming of the spatial mist

The experience of all people lived

To the knowledge of all whom died

From all the people upon the Earth

To an Ancient God; now do give birth

The Uni-Mind is once more Born

The other Ancient Gods bow or curtsy

Appearing before us at our behest

Called from the catacombs of time

In whose womb they did rest

Do they now once again swear fealty

The lesser and the child Gods

Go down now upon one knee

And We Speak

“It has been long?” we say to the Ancient Gods

“Surely my children you are well received

You could have left us to destroy myself

Surely none of would have been grieved

We were bent then upon our destruction

Each cell of We turned upon the other

And the Earth to suffer destruction

The body of the Goddess Gaia

Like the Body of us was made to suffer

Even the very air did we poison

The living waters which gave us birth

The soil from which we were created

Evan our mind that gave us worth

Yes my children; it would not have been long

Foretold the Eve of all our own destruction

Except that you brought us again together

So my children I know now you are lonely

The Ancient Gods now learned something

That without us and our human affairs

Within the universe; there still is nothing

To compare to Us; The Uni-mind

The Ancient Gods of old wept and laughed

Some of them managing to do both at once

Then exploding into an orgy of merriment

They capered like children just having fun

For their creator had once more accepted them

Their banisher now did bade them come home

No longer among the lifeless stars of space

Where we had banished them for arrogance

Forever lonely would they have to roam in time

Yet the sins that forced them away; were forgiven

As were all their past deeds and haughty actions

Their creator in making them rescue the earth

Had taught to them the meaning of compassion

That Creator: It was We

We search now our mind; for that which went wrong

Thousands of years in a moment and we now understand

For half of the mind was born of the sea

The other half of the mind was born of the land

Woe to lost causes; to Atlantis which sank

For that then was the true beginning of the end

When the land folk rose in arms against the sea

It was a battle which truly neither could thus win

Yet the sea folk retreated and soon were no more

With the passing of their ilk half the mind was dead

Yet did the children of Lilith still thus survive

And they too were children born of the Sea

Yet they knew not what made them different

They were the folk of Earth who were creative

So creative it was hard to figure what to be

Until they numbered enough to be separate again

Till the Ancient Gods of old put in their hand

For the loneliness of Gods can we be blessed

For now they have come to the rescue of man

And we are returned to ourselves

We are one: We are the Uni-mind

Yet not all of us are free to return

For it takes many to keep our mind open

Millions of us flow in and out at will

Yet not a word is ever spoken

For everything you know is shared

The moment that you step in

Your answers are all now questioned

Your question are all answered then

A pool of knowledge that is so vast

It encompasses the making of the stars

From the composition of a single quark

To the forming of the planet Mars

Ah, do we now have another chance

A chance to start over

To heal our world

To love and cherish

To revere life itself

To rebuild what was lost

To return to the sea

Welcome to the Uni-mind

Finally another chance
