Fanning Flame

Fanning Flame

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

Despair will try to claim,

Hope's flickering flame.

It really is a shame,

Few alone are willing,

To fan Hope's flame.

Though they can be tame,

Passions are the bellows,

To fan Hope's flame.

Life is a dirty game,

But the winners choose,

To fan Hope's flame.

Through the Darkness came,

A beam of purest Light,

To fan Hope's flame.

It is Faith's aim,

To stoke Hope's flame.
