The World to Me

The World to Me

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

Like everything I see,
You are the world to me.

You are the dappled sunlight,
Found in the forest glade,
You are the world to me.

You are the bubbling brook,
Racing over mossy stone,
You are the world to me.

You are the crimson leaf,
Floating on the breeze,
You are the world to me.

You are the ocean tides,
Caressing sandy beach,
You are the world to me.

Of all the things to be,
You are the world to me.

I was digging through some old notebooks doing some research on geology for another writing project and came across this half finished in a margin. I had completely forgotten about it...so I finished it off real quick but I think it could still use some polishing...

I like it the way it is. It's perfect "Of all the things to be You are the world to me" Who could ask for anything more. Very emotive and great imagrey.

Yeah I agree with the others.. I think it's fine as is.. but then again, I'm not a big fan of changing things. Once something has been written, I think changes.. well changes the meaning all too often. It no longer is what was in your heart and mind and therefore loses the true meaning. I know there are exceptions to this but I much prefer to hear and feel what is in someone's heart and mind the way it is written the first time.. but that's just me. Either way.. Thank you for sharing. I liked this a lot!

There really isn't much to tell about me. I write poetry because I like to play with words. I am writing a series of fantasy novels because I got tired of the predictability of that genre. I tend to u.. more..
