Captive to the spirit of adventure, or more likely misadventure, a pair of youthful goggles occluding my sensibility with one lens polarized to immediacy and the other to immortality, I hurtled myself into the unknowable future through the darkest depths of the Congo jungle, finding ... finding what? Finding out that I'd carelessly strewn garbage along the path in my journey to meet myself at Lake Victoria.
