End Of A Chapter

End Of A Chapter

A Poem by Lala

For a while we shared a narrative
Most times it was positive
But upon further analysis
We were in different stages
I wanted it to stay the same
Wasn't ready for the changes
I was still in the middle
Flipping through the pages
Curious about upcoming phrases
I was still reading our chapter
Finishing for me didn't matter
But you already closed the book
Deep down I knew it had to end
But I realize now looking back after
Although we both enjoyed our story
I guess you just read it faster

Wow! You depict such simple concept on a universal scale. You write with simplicity such complex themes! I love your poetic perspective on life.

You have a soulful way of writing; and this is felt in your way of rhyming with a certain natural rhythm and flow. Yet you don't rhyme just for the sake of rhyming; for your poems are packed with meaning, awareness, celebration, beauty, love, compassion, passion and truth.

You seemingly have a passion for the beauty of words, and you have a grasp of the poetic craft. You are aware of the natural equilibrium of letting the right word paint the right image unforced, applying the poetic devices at your disposal, though whilst staying true to concept, context and content, all in sync in the overall poem, from the title to the total execution of the concept.

Well done!
