Silver Kiss

Silver Kiss

A Poem by

The kiss that killed me was delivered by your lips

the soft deception of the soft skin across your hips

you were never as innocent as you wanted me to think

you traded me out faster than I could blink

You led me to believe that I meant something to you

that we would be together when everything was through

But it was never me that you wanted

By thoughts of another man were you haunted

So when the time came you could please him, again

you asked him how to help and jumped right in

I was a fool to believe your lies

And now Im the one who slowly dies

The silver from your kiss slowly fills me

and the coldness of your face is all I can see

The funny thing is, I would have it no other way

I hope that you think of my death every day

Because with your betrayal, not only comes death

it proves that loves slowly dies, with every breath

Love can never live when you are around

Because to you, I love you, is just a sound
