Modern Indecision

Modern Indecision

A Poem by
"

Humanity running around in circles

"

You don’t know where to go,

you don’t know where you’ve been.

You go around in circles till you get dizzy,

so many times I’ve seen.

You’ve been looking for something,

ever since the day you were born.

So long ago you have forgotten what it is,

now you sit down and mourn.

You don’t know what you have,

but still you want more and more.

More of what you never can tell,

and isn’t that such a bore.

You run in every direction,

and the years keep on pilling.

Isn’t it strange that I’ve never,

ever found your face smiling.

Look at your face in the mirror,

hasn't it grown old?

You spent most of your years,

in gathering lots of gold.

I can’t imagine what you’re doing,

or what you’re thinking of.

Did you forget how to rest?

or did you forget how to love?

How very very true. Amassing more and more wealth and possessions you finish up being possessed by them.
