When I Die

When I Die

A Poem by

I'm the zealous type.

When I die,
I want four men to show up at my funeral.
I want one of them to cry,
The second to mourn,
The third to miss me,
And the final man, I want him to celebrate my life.

When I die,
I want the prettiest flowers to be laid in my hands.
I want roses,
Lilies,
Daffodils,
And forget-me-nots.

When I die,
I want the best music to be played.
A song to cry to,
A song to dance to,
My theme song,
And a song that will send me wherever I'm to go next.

When I die,
I want four men to show up at my funeral.
My son,
My husband,
The one that got away,
And my best friend.

I'm the greedy type.

This has a very classic feel to it. Well done.
