Twisted Fairy Tale

Twisted Fairy Tale

A Poem by

Taking a walk under the beautiful moon light

Holding his hand, as we talked about our future

How his love could take all people by surprise

Pushing me on the swings, telling me he would catch me if I fall

I slide down the slide, He is waiting for me at the bottom

His smile is as bright as the stars

But then I feel my head get slammed against the slide

"Its alright, I am taking care of you" He whispered to me

Is this love? Is this the care I deserve?

The cold air hits my body as he rips off my clothes

I can feel his rage, I can taste his lust

Screaming was not an option when he threatened me

"Shhhh don't scream, your brains don't wanna meet the slide, Do they?"

Tears came down hysterically as I felt more than I wanted too

"Get dressed, I hear your mom calling for you"

He holds my hand and walks me to the road before his

He kisses my hand, and walks into the shadows

I wipe my tears, fix my clothes, put on a smile, and pretend that my life did not just get worse

Mom tucks me into bed, gives me a kiss, tells me she loves me

I close my eyes and start to cry, about a love that will never die
