~ The Piano

Whimsical wind blew

Through this house tonight

After my nightly cup of tea

I slept all alone,

To get some inspiration

And be totally free

To feel some pure nothingness

Dreams of life to follow

As the crows, in my window,

In the dead of the night

Crowed defiance

Every night after night,

In the distance

This moment came

I heard his piano game

His notes were not like others

He played them like

The  wind could touch

The earth, without gravity

Invisible beauty,

But with that special touch

Only he could intoxicate

A woman of his caliber

When he played,  all became

Quiet, even the wind outside

Only his breath you heard

Gasping of passion, in between

The notes of his touch

It doesn’t matter where I am,

Always he shall follow me,

In day and night,

He shall play for me

Until I sleep

With these majors

And minors of love

Perfectly balanced as his

Ghostly fingers danced

I know he’s with me forever

I smiled….

Never saw this one. This is such beautiful poetry and the music compliments it so well. I can imagine him talking to you through his piano in romantic notes played softly and delicately as interludes run through your head reminding you of his presence. Excellent work.

This is so haunting. Those notes wafting through the night air that follow and intoxicate. A truly stunning piece of poetry.

Oh thank you friend, for taking a moment and time to let this enter.... :) I'm grateful. Elisa
"To feel some pure nothingness" yes, I do feel that out of that peceful place comes the creativity, the inspiration, in the form of a few distant words, or maybe the echo of a piano melody... Once again, a great read for sure. I smiled too.

I am a pianist and this touched me, your words brought a mesmerizing melody to my mind and my heart began to sing in harmony. Your words are pure, simply pure and free, flowing like a sheer curtain in the breeze of an open window. Very nice.
