~ I’m just on my way

Let me be just a tiny little woman,

All alone, nowhere and everywhere

For the road is my home,

There I shall feel safe;

There don’t exist any questions

How to go on further, for further

Isn’t there yet,

Where eternity continues…

     I shall transit

When time is with us, we shall be drowned

In these arms, of love,

Rest, and peace.

For now, I keep on moving,

Among my shield of life

The only steps I take are those

To be closer to there

To walk my lifetime, of minutes

And when I may rest,

I shall get rewarded, with the gloom

Of a noiseless little present;

And rest for eternity,

When time stands still for a moment

There where I donate the earth my last breath

Radios blarin' and my hearts on fire
Put a bullet through my head and then we'll call it a night.
whoaa uh oh oh uh oh. whoaa uh oh oh uh ohhhh.
Stereos singin' and i'm out of luck,
another cigarette and i'll say i've enough.
and whoaa uh oh oh uh oh. whoaa uh oh oh uh ohhhh
burnin' down while. i'll be your favorite lie,
packing all my things, i'm leavin' YOU behind.
i've got my keys! i've got my keys! forget the load! forget the load!
i've got my friends, i've got my friends.
we'll hit the road! we'll hit the roadd...
riding on the back in the fear of the standards,
the standards that now we will reign,
and i'll i've gotta say is that i'm sick of this town and lets screw the standards and lets make a stand!
burnin' down while i'll be your favorite lie,
packing all my things, i'm leavin' YOU behind.
i've got my keys! i've got my keys! forget the load! forget the load!
i've got my friends, i've got my friends.
we'll hit the road! we'll hit the road...
and i'll i know, all i know, is that i'm never lookin' back, never lookin' back again.. ohh again.

There is plenty of time for rest when we are not living....plenty of time to be inert and in one place. For now, we are alive...and we must grasp life by the proverbial horns and run with it. "the road is my home" what a great line this is, Elisa....you are an adventurer. May you have the energy and health to continue on that road for a very long time. Knuffels, Lydi**

Thank you very much Dave :)
I will try and be brief and concise. I'm very comfortable in motion, and I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Thank you very much for your wonderful comment Mrs. Meggins... :)
Dear Elisa, My thoughts about your piece and your carefree, adventurous spirit.

1. Let me be just a tiny little woman,
All alone, nowhere and everywhere
For the road is my home, there I shall feel safe.
" The first line appears to be baffling, for tiny is often associated with " insignificant ". However its indeed obvious here that you have adopted this lifestyle of constantly moving. You felt safe and at home. You have accustomed yourself to the life of a globetrotter and prefer to have no companion if not got used to it.

2.There don’t exist any questions
How to go on further, for further
Isn’t there yet. Where eternity continues… I shall transit.
" Here I can say that you prefer to travel and go places without self impose or impose restrictions,
from yourself and others. No question of where are you going, how long are you going to be there, and when are you coming back. And the last line is a bit tricky to understand but it seems to imply how obsess or passionate you are about traveling and seeing different places". I prefer the word passionate ...

3.When time is with us, we shall be drowned
In these arms, of love, rest, and peace.
For now, I keep on moving, among my shield of life.
" This is once again a little tricky but you're not talking about a person here but still your love and passion for travel. A life of on the go and constantly moving whether its work related or by pleasure is a good thing but once you're hooked. There's no looking back. Traveling was once a stranger or a guest to you who then took permanent residence in your restless heart. It moved in with you and you want to enjoy each other's company and get drowned by each other arms when time permits and when you both get a chance . An adrenalin rush , intoxicating, longing for the next fix. "

4. The only steps I take are those
To be closer to there
To walk my lifetime, of minutes
" The temptations is always there and irresistible. Sometimes its planned and sometimes just a moment notice where you drop everything and take off. Once you there and reach your destination . You only have but a minute to sucks it in and enjoy it. Then its time to move on again. Its short live. "

5. And when I may rest,
I shall get rewarded, with the gloom
Of a noiseless little present;
" The word is again tricky...but somehow when you travel it seems that you love to collect keepsakes that would help you remember the places you've been, the people you met. A souvenir and a picture perhaps. "

6. And rest for eternity,
When time stands still for a moment
There where I donate the earth my last breath.
" And then when the time come when you can no longer go. When the Rolling Stone finally grind into a halt. Then and only then you allow the moss to gather and settle beneath you tired and weary feet. And the Wanderlust fades off as you donate the earth your last breath ...
And when you can't go on, you may have to settle for souvenirs and noiseless little presents or pictures that perpetually reminds you of your once carefree and adventurous spirit.
