~ I’m just on my way

Let me be just a tiny little woman,

All alone, nowhere and everywhere

For the road is my home,

There I shall feel safe;

There don’t exist any questions

How to go on further, for further

Isn’t there yet,

Where eternity continues…

     I shall transit

When time is with us, we shall be drowned

In these arms, of love,

Rest, and peace.

For now, I keep on moving,

Among my shield of life

The only steps I take are those

To be closer to there

To walk my lifetime, of minutes

And when I may rest,

I shall get rewarded, with the gloom

Of a noiseless little present;

And rest for eternity,

When time stands still for a moment

There where I donate the earth my last breath

Radios blarin' and my hearts on fire
Put a bullet through my head and then we'll call it a night.
whoaa uh oh oh uh oh. whoaa uh oh oh uh ohhhh.
Stereos singin' and i'm out of luck,
another cigarette and i'll say i've enough.
and whoaa uh oh oh uh oh. whoaa uh oh oh uh ohhhh
burnin' down while. i'll be your favorite lie,
packing all my things, i'm leavin' YOU behind.
i've got my keys! i've got my keys! forget the load! forget the load!
i've got my friends, i've got my friends.
we'll hit the road! we'll hit the roadd...
riding on the back in the fear of the standards,
the standards that now we will reign,
and i'll i've gotta say is that i'm sick of this town and lets screw the standards and lets make a stand!
burnin' down while i'll be your favorite lie,
packing all my things, i'm leavin' YOU behind.
i've got my keys! i've got my keys! forget the load! forget the load!
i've got my friends, i've got my friends.
we'll hit the road! we'll hit the road...
and i'll i know, all i know, is that i'm never lookin' back, never lookin' back again.. ohh again.

Thank you very much rhythm&blues... I appreciate your visit.
Wow, the road of life, the path of this woman, obstacles they might contain but she walks the road in the present not looking ahead to where it leads.. for when the road ends so does she. "The road is my home, it's where I feel safe." I kind of want that pinned up in my room with a picture similar to the one you have.. Wow just the idea of a path.. may it be the path to life, to salvation or faith .. or just a path behind a house where one feels safe.. the concept of journey from this world transcending to the next. Beautiful Elisa beautiful..

Oh, my. The word "donate" struck me very well. That woman is precious. She is the ultimate traveler. She is the sad and the happy, the quiet and the noisy. She is alone, but not without purpose. Oh, I love this poem. I find solace and beautiful, intelligent energy in this poem. Beautiful! -Nido

I love the way you discribe her, Nido :) for she can't live without opposits... :)
There is a sort of comfortable melancholy at play here...there's not necessarily an embrace of life, but an acceptance...

Loved the lifetime of minutes and the noiseless little present.

There is beauty here.

Thank you dearly CM for finding the beauty in it. Your visit, and review is very appreciated by me!
Simply beautiful! You make me wander again in the time labyrinth of your soul and reflections about life, future, senses, road. It`s the great symbol of lonely traveler, everyone should travel alone, more or less, with support or without..(even he is never alone). This piece reminds me of feeling after watching black and white movie without sound of someones past...Has hidden melancholic feeling. My favorite verses:
Where eternity continues…
I shall transit

When time is with us, we shall be drowned
In these arms, of love,
Rest, and peace.

you found solitude while you journey to life's eternal road... you walk in the presence of love... this made me think back of the past - memories we had just experience... those moments we treasure and also the bad once we wish to forget but it's all there mixed up leaving a mark behind us... but what we do we never look back... we keep marching forward to...

Where eternity continues…
I shall transit

.... i love that 2 lines....
....a moving piece in heart, mind and in life....

I have I have, I'm getting spoiled here.... Awww hug to you
I felt entombed by time... depression can take a toll on the mind, body, and soul.
The ache swelters here in the midst of this solitary confinement...all you have left is to keep moving, to forge through the darkness..
Stunning write, Eli.~xoxo~

Thank you for this sweetheart! I know we think alike in many things! Hugs ♥
I followed happily along thinking this is a lovely lilting exercise. A smooth poem that conveys all it has to in an almost wistful manner. Then I just shuttered over that last line as if I was taking a photograph of it. Then I looked again and it took me way beyond the lovliness of the main poem into a thing of sheer beauty.
