~ I’m just on my way

Let me be just a tiny little woman,

All alone, nowhere and everywhere

For the road is my home,

There I shall feel safe;

There don’t exist any questions

How to go on further, for further

Isn’t there yet,

Where eternity continues…

     I shall transit

When time is with us, we shall be drowned

In these arms, of love,

Rest, and peace.

For now, I keep on moving,

Among my shield of life

The only steps I take are those

To be closer to there

To walk my lifetime, of minutes

And when I may rest,

I shall get rewarded, with the gloom

Of a noiseless little present;

And rest for eternity,

When time stands still for a moment

There where I donate the earth my last breath

Radios blarin' and my hearts on fire
Put a bullet through my head and then we'll call it a night.
whoaa uh oh oh uh oh. whoaa uh oh oh uh ohhhh.
Stereos singin' and i'm out of luck,
another cigarette and i'll say i've enough.
and whoaa uh oh oh uh oh. whoaa uh oh oh uh ohhhh
burnin' down while. i'll be your favorite lie,
packing all my things, i'm leavin' YOU behind.
i've got my keys! i've got my keys! forget the load! forget the load!
i've got my friends, i've got my friends.
we'll hit the road! we'll hit the roadd...
riding on the back in the fear of the standards,
the standards that now we will reign,
and i'll i've gotta say is that i'm sick of this town and lets screw the standards and lets make a stand!
burnin' down while i'll be your favorite lie,
packing all my things, i'm leavin' YOU behind.
i've got my keys! i've got my keys! forget the load! forget the load!
i've got my friends, i've got my friends.
we'll hit the road! we'll hit the road...
and i'll i know, all i know, is that i'm never lookin' back, never lookin' back again.. ohh again.

this is me too dear sis... I used to be able to plan my future but now... I am this tiny woman, just following the path immediately in front of me, wherever it may lead, and hoping for that feeling to arise, that recognition of familiarity that says, meant to be... this path from here, to wherever eternity may be... love this!!!!

Thank you so much for your thoughts sweet sister! you are so appreciated!
Life is a journey. We are taking the road of our own...sometimes smooth, but sometimes rough. Sometimes we have to choose, are we going to continue walking or are we gonna stop? There's a perfect time to rest...

This is a wonderful piece, Elisa. Souls are really searching for peace...and we are not different from those souls. We are on our own ways...we have our own lives- our own paths to be taken.

Good job!

..."I shall transit.." Yes! Very vivid piece in a way with a nice simplicity in the wordings it still says a lot. I like the way the wording of the piece fits very consistently throughout. Very fine. Thanks!

"Where eternity continues…/I shall transit" great understanding and acceptance of what life really is - a journey to be explored and cherished. Very insightful

Eli, this poem is from a searching heart. I could feel the path these words were born on. Thank you for glancing back at us... I will cherish this write.
One suggestion, either drown or be drowned. Not "be drown".
Lovely Eli. Simply lovely. :)

"there where i donate the earth my last breath"

what a great closer.

this has a mix for me...first of all, i love the feel of it...i love the road down which it takes me.

but there is a combination of sadness and strength...

i keep moving, i am strong on the road, and nothing can interfere or impede with my journey...but the sadness is in the stopping along the way...seems this speaker gets hurt when she stops and makes ties with places or people...

this is my favorite write from you...

I really like how you portray the road and the journey in life. You embrace your path upon it and set out to discover what it has in store for you. This sounds like a great philosophy for living and finding: "Where eternity continues…/I shall transit." One of my favorite lines there. I also like the idea of donating your last breath to the earth. That shows separation from the body and detachment from material things. You freely accept the end of the road and walk into the next avenue of the journey. I like this quite a bit.
