~ Refreshment, A poem about my hate-love relationship with Poetry. Nothing more need to be said.

"

~ Refreshment

She decided to give her heart

              Back to the moon,

   Where she belonged;

           So that her heat could sizzle softly

       On this fresh skin, to be one again;

After being sun-baked inside

           For too many months, even years,

  And feeling over burned by the love,

              Of his tangible forged iron(ic) arms of heat.

Indeed, we all need to refresh our minds and take a little break from the sizzling sun.
What better place to be than in the arms of the moon for comfort...such as poetry, my dear Eli.
You have softened the intensity with your tender words, yet we writers know all too well that it can absorb every ounce of our being. Therein lies the love-hate relationship...

Magnificent write Sis!~xoxo~

Thank you so much sweety, for these words, and for giving me a read :)
This has an overwhelming sense of peace. Strange, the current short story I've been working on has someone going into the sun.

Thank you Thomas for reading, and your review... I'm curious about that one...interesting!
I enjoyed this. I liked the metaphor of being sun-baked inside. I guess maybe we all feel that way as we near the end of summer. But can one be burned by love? I suppose so....but it leaves a beautiful tan. ;)

Good to read you again. And you are welcome. xo
Hmm, such an alluring write Elisa. Just beautiful. Refreshing, new beginnings, and sometimes simple adjustments are necessary but it takes us too long to open our clutched hands and just release and fall into the arms of the moon.

Thanks for sharing.

Ah love your moonshadow here, we need to get out of the sun, especially when we're not armed with the right SPF....your poetry is refreshing in and of itself, missed reading you my sweet sweet friend!
