The Laughing Crow

The Laughing Crow

A Poem by
"

Just metaphorically speaking!

"
Stalking the garbage,
I am what I eat
Pecking at the ground
No dignity
But then again, no boundaries
Spotted from the forest I hide in
No privacy..like that's fair
Frowned upon
Like I care
Doing only the wrong
An epic fail
Good for nothing
But I swallow all the hate
Hit your mean thoughts with my tail
I'll get you back
Revenge from my silky
Smooth coat...entirely black
Because even I...
Stoop that low
When I witness your day of curse
Just count on me
As a pest on the sidelines
Even you know
That even my kind
Will shatter in giggles
As the laughing crow.

All of this made me smile. I love the way the sentences flow. I loved your attention to detail, for example "Revenge from my silky
Smooth coat" I'm a sucker for descriptions about color and texture.
It was a lot of fun to read. I like a mischievous character and the crow certainly sounds like one!

I like the crow. They have great mystery and story. They can survive anyway and have few enemies. I like the use of the crow. Made your point with this poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.
