Written in the Stars

You really do see stars when you faint.

At least I did…

I saw stars.

I saw an entire galaxy.

Floated through

an infinite sea

on a journey to

alternate dimensions.

Learned what peace is,

how it feels,

and,

for a brief moment,

I couldn’t help but wonder

(hope)

if the burning sun

is the infamous light

you hear about

in sad movies
