Like the Plague

Like the Plague

A Poem by Alexzandera

I feel really foolish/Half the time/you seem like you actually like me,/like you want me/The other half/you act like I’m a plague in your life/Killing you from the inside out/I may be your plague/but you’re just as infectious/Using my brain/as a host for your games/You get angry/and stop talking to me,/yet the germ of you remains,/causing me/to anxiously await your return./But I cannot/keep going through this./My brain and I/deserve so much better./I don’t want to be your number two./The girl who gets you off/while you wait for the one/you really want./I love you,/I do./In my own really twisted way I do./Forever./But you aren’t good for me./So I’ll avoid you/Like the plague.

Yes, get away from that dude! He’ll never respect you if you don’t respect yourself!
