Phantasmal Cycle

Phantasmal Cycle

A Poem by Wunderlich
"

I wrote this a looooong time ago. I almost forgot about it.

"

The gossamer leavings of the sky
Glisten under the sun
The scabrous floor trapped beneath
Congested angel dust

Bitter laughs of the wind
Blow holes through the body
Algid shells plunge into
Aphotic space, absent memory

Encased leaves bow to tranquility
Frozen air envelopes
Forests that pray for cardinal warmth
Wither in the caustic blow

Bitter laughs of the wind
Blow holes through the body
Algid shells plunge into
Aphotic space, absent memory

Sometimes the mind wonders
Of death, when it all ends
And who is really dying
The mind, or the world

Traverse the frigid lands
Eidolons adrift the sea
Coasting forgotten waves
Obscured in time
Never to be brought back

Hmm. Seems like you've had me checking the dictionary every now and then. I cannot say much about the poem because my head's heavy with new words. lol.
