Drug Free

This is a poem I wrote for school. It was for extra credit and might even be read in front of the whole school... If they like it... Hopefully it's good.

Do you think your cool?
Truth is your not!
Your just to messed up to realize it...

 

Do you have any idea of what's happening around you?
Of course you don't!
Your hurting everyone who cares about you...

 

Do you really want to keep hurting people? Yourself?
You don't even know you are!
But your family feels as if they did something wrong
And you are too blind to notice...

 

Do you even care?
Not really!
You choose to continue this path...

 

Do you want honesty?
I hope so!
The fact is you are killing yourself,
hurting the hearts of the ones you love,
who love you!

 

Do you know what Im asking of you?
Listen close!
You are more than a high...
You are above killing yourself...
You have the power to find yourself again...
You have the strength to "Just Say No"...

 

Start now!
Talk to the ones you love who love you,
Stop in your school guidance office,
Seek the help you so desperately need,
Deep down inside, you know your worth it!

 

You have choices don't make the wrong one...
You chose a path that brought you down instead of lifting you up,
Wake up and see what your doing...
Even for a minute just think of how much your hurting everyone around you,
All because you need your fix to keep you going...
When really all you need is some help!

 

Open up and talk...
Don't rely on addicting substances to help you get through things,
That will take over your mind and drive you to the edge...
Eventually you won't have anyone left to go to,
Because when you finally do open your eyes it may be too late,
And you may have no one and no where to go...
So make the right choice before it all dissapears into nothing!

 

Dont be weak!Think before you act!
BE DRUG FREE! JUST SAY NO!

A very strong poem with real wisdom. Drugs were made for a purpose. For healing of mind and body. Any drug from alcohol to smoking crack will only take from you. Your last line is common sense. A outstanding poem.
