Ice and Fire

Ice and Fire

A Poem by Xander West

Ice and Fire

Such a battle rages in the heart of one,
Forever it appears some wars are never won,
Eyes touch with the frost of icy blue,
Beauty untold, words never spoken more true,
Heart pounding with flames of a fire,
Passion to adore and all to inspire.

Such a delicate dance to watch unfold,
Such are searing moments rarely untold,
A struggle between two unrelenting powers,
Such is mighty allure of this love of ours.

Such depths of icy blue that all else becomes lost,
Yet forever more I desire her no matter the cost,
Flickering of flames dances to the beat of one heart,
Until both ice and fire are never again set apart.

Such a battle rages in the heart of one,
Forever it appears some wars are never won,
Eyes touch with the frost of icy blue,
Beauty untold, words never spoken more true,
Heart pounding with flames of a fire,
Passion to adore and all to inspire.

Beauty in the depths of pain felt by the dance,
Flickering of icy blue flames sway and prance,
We may never know how both ice and fire become part of one,
Yet forever more the battle of this heart shall be eternally won.
