Stranger I am

Stranger I am

A Poem by Blossom
"

I am nothing special, to you I'm the world.

"
No matter how hard I try to forget
It doesn't work
your gentle words
envelop me tight
holding me back
as I try to get rid of these...

painful
 memories

my hands tremble
when I think of what you've done to me
how you've

humiliated me
broke me
until nothing was left
except a shell of who I was
that will accept any torture
that you will bring

so why is it, now that I'm free
you still haunt me
as I try to forget
what has happened to me
everything becomes crystal clear
the memories won't let me forget
because now, they've made me who I am

So to answer a question
you've always asked
I don't know who you are
I do know that I don't love you
But I know you do
I know you've always have
because what reason would you have
to inflict such wounds on a...
perfectly
ignorant
stranger

On the contrary, I think the bolded words have tons of meaning. Not only do they emphasize a particular thought, they sort of nuclease (make a nucleus) of the stanza.

I really enjoyed the different fonting, the italicizing and the bolding. I thought it brought the poem lots of dimension.

I also understood the content better, more than the other poem of yours that I recently reviewed.

"...a shell of who I was"

Beautiful line. Really gave me a clear, straight-foward idea and vision of what you were talking about. I enjoyed this piece.

Often in pure, blissful ignorance, we destroy lives without meaning to... just a thought that this poem gave me. Pain-filled, but excellent work!
