Dawn

Dawn

A Poem by Yahallo
"

How I hope I'll leave this world...

"
swinging legs

high above the grass bathed in dew

sun giving birth to a new morning

trees stay silent

and all my other friends do the same

pressing sweaty palms together

fog floating and hiding my steps

i throw away my watch and earrings

mother don't you dare scream or cry

for this is my path

as this is your path

and everyone else's path as well

thus i melt in sun's welcoming hands
