A Poem by Yahallo

A hopeless hurting love existing only in dreams.

a white dress glowed under the angry clouds
whether it rained or snowed
the dress stayed clean and whole

somewhere between dreams and reality
i'd be half-awake with bloodshot eyes
and the only thing i can remember then
is to reach out both my hands
my arms
my limbs
somewhere in your direction
catching warm breaths you left
behind your back
as i chase your silhouette

i pray every night not to wake up
the only thing i have of you is your shadow
gracious and silent it is, just like you
just like you
but not quite you
