I wanted to understand you like I wanted to understand math.

you
divided
my heart
in a thousand
tiny sharp pieces
that now cut my lungs
suffocating without oxygen
i'd still manage to somehow smile
if you were to return to my lifeless arms
multiply me back to life and add your love
just don't keep me hanging with this scary zero around

this is an interesting poem based on two reasons: first the use of mathematics to describe the love especially with the use of the four fundamental operations and second mathematics happen to be my weakest subject so anything that has a connection to mathematics is really unique and awesome to me.
