Planned coincidence

Planned coincidence

A Poem by Yahallo
"

A one-sided fantasy.

"
Every single morning
i stand underneath the cherry tree
and wait for hours
biting lip
fidgeting
playing with my hair
sighing my youth away

Just when I am about to leave
i see you.
jaw dropped
breath taken
thunder in my heart
and i make myself believe
it was fate to see you.

An impressive, sad poem. Bittersweet, maybe. The bitter fruit that is unrequited love? The imagery is sharp in few words and the emotions sharper. I think we can all see ourselves under that cherry tree. Nice work!
