A Poem by Yahallo
"

To be a temporary help

"
you ran to me, face showered with sweat,
thunder replacing your breath,
"d e s p a r a t e" spelt out in those two damn eyes of yours.
you didn't have to say a word, i already knew everything.
nothing and everything at once.

you ran to me, because you simply needed help,
a human touch, a temporary place to stay.
i was your bed n breakfast, you were my rock n roll,
though i'm not sure you had ever known. . .

you wanted to be needed, and i wanted to get burnt
disappear into ashes because of you.
you ran to me, not knowing it'd make me both thrilled and angry at the same time. because i was pretty damn sure even the old lady next door was able to hear the sound of my accelerating heart when placed next to you.

but somehow, you were deaf. . .
or that's what i keep telling myself, anyway.
