Ode to Now

Ode to Now

A Poem by Christopher Robin
"

Something a little different for all the 'tortured artists' who feel the healing powers of sharing their first world problems through their overpriced technology.

"

Ode to Now

The trapped and broken

Now have spoken,

Just a token

Of emotion.

The free and right

Have won their plight,

And caused a blight

Of endless night.

The young and true

Have naught to do,

They see it through

But are too few.

The strong and old

Have earned their gold,

Their stories told,

Their treasures sold.

So we have learned

From bodies burned,

We will return

Unto the earth.

And so one day

We fade away,

Then they will say

Now let us pray.

The cycle of life is an intriguing one never to be a disenchanting one. In here we have a clear distinction of the world of feelings at different stages of life hence of time and space. Different perception of thinking as it also is affected by aging and the things we decided to do with their inherited wisdom.

What I like the most having gone through some of your writings is the admirable amount of respect that you show for words and meaning.

Your writings seem valiant and hopeful

Thankyou

you sure do like your rhyming don't ya?... I have to say, this one delivers the short concise lines and the playful rhymes yet again... not bad sir... it even manages to keep with the story line and the point, which a lot of people don't do when trying to maintain such a strict rhyming pattern... for that alone, it is worthy of praise.. ending made me giggle again... ode to now, technology wise has me "praying" all the time for guidance and HELP... jeeez.. mine laughs at me.. never does what I tell it to do for sure... makes me feel "trapped and broken"... overall very entertaining and meaningful (somewhat) piece... love your word play throughout all of your pieces.. they each have their own unique "melody" to them and tease your mind... another one I have enjoyed :)
