Simply Lovely

A Poem by Alex Boyd

Loving you was so cool
In my spirit forever I shall be lifted
Intoxicated by your graces
Your charm was one of your deadliest tools
I'm a fool for your loving girl and abuse by how much you care
Forgive me for all those nights that I wasn't there
As I stand by the waste side
While thinking about your waist size
Girl you were always down to ride
No matter the weather
Embracing ever storm like Coretta
Just like her you are a fearsome leader
Talk to me girl, feed my inner soul
Come and make me whole again
I'm drowning from within
Inhaling my last breath while taking my last step
Is there any bars left to explain how I truly felt, about you
These spoken words are true
A mic in my hand as I land on this beat
Pouring out all my grief, till this cup runneths over me
Spilling out all that I have seen
Suffering, depression, and a whole lot of killing
Still you want to taste and see
Knowing that it's poison that's quenching thee

I love this poem. It is original and you have the rhyming and rhythm down. I am trying to work on that on my poems.
