Depression

i have struggled with depression for two years

My depression

An obsession

My pain will never lessin'

If i die

Would you cry

My death you would deny

My heart is broken

The feelings you have awoken

By the words you have spoken

I hide

No one cried

I have died on the inside

My feelings

Revealing

You find my pain appealing

Forever i will hide

Little you have cried

Alone i have died

As one sufferer/survivor of severe depression to another, you have my respect and entire support, moral or otherwise. I know it never helps to hear this, but you ain't alone. Your words have captured the true essence of this deadly serious medical condition--and it's not something to be laughed at and shrugged off (but you don't need me to tell you that.)

Anyway, any further review I could give would practically cheapen your work. These aren't heart-felt words--they're soul felt. I can tell you have suffered depression, just from this poem; some say it takes one to spot another.

But anyway, this work is vital, and it's very beautiful. Write on :)
